WHAT I TREAT

Behind big emotions are often deeper wounds — therapy helps make sense of it all.
Life doesn't always unfold the way we expect. Whether you're navigating trauma, anxiety, grief, or parenting challenges, therapy can offer support, clarity, and healing. I work with children, teens, adults, and families who are facing emotional struggles: both recent and long-standing—with compassion and evidence-based care.
Many of the symptoms that bring people to therapy, like emotional outbursts in children, difficulty connecting with others, or feeling constantly overwhelmed—are often rooted in deeper experiences of stress or trauma. I take time to understand the whole person, not just the problem. Using trauma-informed and developmentally sensitive methods, I tailor treatment to each individual's needs, helping clients of all ages move toward lasting healing and stronger relationships.

Treatment Methods and Specialties
-
I approach therapy through a trauma lens—asking “What happened to you?” instead of “What’s wrong with you?” I create a safe space built on trust, collaboration, and cultural respect so healing can begin.
-
EMDR helps you process painful memories without reliving them. It activates the brain’s natural healing while gently reducing the emotional charge of trauma, anxiety, or depression.
-
Children process through play the way adults do through talking. I use play, art, and sand tray therapy to help children express big feelings in ways that feel safe and natural to them.
-
By blending EMDR with play therapy, I support children and teens in healing through both movement and imagination — creating powerful, age-appropriate ways to reprocess trauma.
-
I work with children (birth to five) and their caregivers to strengthen relationships after stress or trauma. CPP supports healing through connection, attachment, and honoring each family’s story.
-
IPT helps teens and adults improve relationships and communication. I use this approach to support clients in getting their emotional needs met in healthy, adaptive ways.
-
Trauma-informed yoga brings healing into the body, not just the mind. It’s a gentle, consent-based practice that helps release stress and reconnect you to a sense of safety and self.
You don’t have to wait for things to get worse before reaching out.
